GYMNASTICS

Its never too early to start training for the Olympics!!!

The chunk monk had her first gymnastics class on Tuesday night. She LOVED it! She squealed, and clapped, and chased after the other little girls for a solid 30 minutes! We did a few front rolls, a few log rolls, a handstand, and she swung on the swing into the foam pit. She did a flip on the bar and we bounced on the trampoline. At the beginning of class we all sang "If you're happy and you know it" and the monk played the tamborine. And then we got free time to explore the gym. After that we learned a few skills...rolls, handstands, holding on to the swing, etc...and then we tried those out! At the end of class we all chased bubbles around the room! I tried my best to get pictures but she was so excited and I just couldnt get her to be still long enough for a good picture.

Orange Beach ~ Day 3

Millie Monk is a trooper! She was so much fun and so good on our last day! We went out early and she played in the sand. She was busy busy busy working her hands in the sand. She must have played in one spot for 45 minutes just digging away. And after her beach nap we hit the pool for a ride on the lazy river and a trip down the slide. The first time I almost drowned myself but I kept the monk above the water. Good thing Gigi was there to catch her!! Second trip was much more successful as I managed to keep both of us above the water!! She wasnt quite sure what to think of the slide but at least she didnt cry! I'll post some videos from the trip tomorrow. For now, pics from day 3!

Orange Beach ~ Day 2

Day 2 started at the pool! The girl wanted to try out the lazy river! She loved it, of course!

And after a quick wardrobe change, we hit the beach for more sand and a nap. The water was nasty and full of seaweed but that didnt stop the girl!!! I think she is going to be just like her mommy and love the water! And never want to get out!! haha!

Orange Beach ~ Day 1

The Monk Chunk went to the beach last week for the second time! But it was her first to experience the sun and sand and pool! SHE LOVED IT! She was totally fascinated with the sand and the water splashing up around her. She even wanted to eat the seashells. And when I say fascinated I mean not even me, Michelle, Meagan, Jan and Lindsey all trying to get her to look up could make her take her eyes off the ocean. Here are some pictures from the first day...
